Walk to Armstrong Park

across from St. Ann Street

 

    Just steps away from the French Quarter lies this public park.  This park is named after the legendary jazz musician, Louis “Louie” Armstrong.  The park is known for duck ponds, sculptures and it’s beautiful arched entrance.  

    Portion of the park in front of the Municipal Auditorium is the site of Congo Square famous for its role in History of African American music and religious practices. 

    Red Dress run,concerts and weddings are just some of the annual hosts for this Park. 

    One of New Orleans hidden parks  to relax and enjoy a nice day.

     Now with the addition of the New Rampart Streetcar Line you can ride up and down Rampart to spend a day of shopping on Canal Street or eating at St Rock Market.
