Starting the Search for your Home or Condo
Agents Experience Really Matters
Let’s Talk About Your Needs
One of the best ways to start your search for that home or condo is to sit down with your agent and talk about your needs. Let us know the things you are looking for. We can meet you at our office or any lace you would like. Here are the things we would like to know so we can narrow the search down to the best 3-5 places.
How much do you want to spend on the property?
How many bedrooms would you like?
Where are you willing to look?
What condo amenities would you like to have?
Is parking an Issue?
Like to walk the neighborhood?
When will you be ready to purchase?
Are you going to pay cash or need a local lender?
Do you want to have pets?
Do you want to rent out your condo when you are not in town?
Talk over the Phone about your needs!
Often times I talk to clients before they come to New Orleans and set them up on a daily or weekly watch list of homes and condos that meet their criteria. The watch list shows new listings, sold prices, under contracts and price reductions. We can change the criteria as we move forward to include other areas and other price ranges that meet your needs.
This is a very good way to get educated. It also sends me a copy to review. I can can generally see if the price is right or if the new listing is overpriced. This keeps me updated on things that meet your criteria.
Before the clients come to town I review all the things and pick the best 5-6 places that meet the clients criteria. Agents go on property tour each week to show their listings to all the agents. I visit them so know after seeing the place what the pluses and minuses are of the place I see.
Sit down in Person to Review
Sitting down in person is even better as we can use the office computer to review the homes and condos that meet your criteria. Looking at the neighborhoods is also a great idea if you are not familiar with all the areas in New Orleans. Often times people will change their locations as they are introduced to various new places.
