Great Neighborhood to Walk and Ride Bikes 

         The real estate in the Bywater Neighborhood is one of the most colorful and walk able neighborhoods in New Orleans and the United States. You see a lot of art work on warehouses and homes in the very artistic Bywater. Named Bywater as it is on the Mississippi River. Once known as the ninth ward. 

          It is a great neighborhood to walk and enjoy the colors and places to visit. A lot of great places to eat and drink. You can get to the French Quarter very quickly. Parking on the street is not an issue in the neighborhood. 

         The Bywater homes and neighborhoods are historic and changed a lot in the last 50 years. There were no colors in the neighborhood when I was in High School in the area. So many changes but still desired to be historic. Homes have to be left to look like they did. The historic commission has to verify any changes that are done.
