Esplanade Avenue Divides French Quarter and Marigny
Between Mississippi River and N. Rampart
Lots of Nice Homes and Condos on Esplanade
Residential Neighborhood with Great Walks
The border of the French Quarter is Esplanade Avenue, North Rampart and Canal Street. This Esplanade Avenue is between French Quarter and the Marigny. There are a lot of nice homes and condos on each side of the Esplanade Avenue with balconies and porches. Most of the places are residential but there are several places to eat and drink.
It is a great walk down both sides of the the Avenue. You can walk in the middle of the street under the trees on the nuetral ground in the shade. There are condos on both sides of the street. You can easily walk to areas in the French Quarter and places in the Marigny. Start off walking from the Streetcar line on N. Rampart down Esplanade to the New Orleans Mint.
So many balconies on both sides of Esplanade Avenue. There are a lot of great porches on the homes. Many of the condo associations have courtyards that are common areas.
Condos at 1020 Esplanade is where I have sold two condos. My clients liked them as they have a parking lot and a courtyard with a swimming pool and a cooking room for parties. The back door open to Barracks Street. The parking is next to N. Rampart. The units have hgh ceilings, some have great views. Many open into the hallway. This was once an Italian Hall for the Italian Neighborhood people. Now you can catch the streetcar on N. Rampart less than a block away.
