French Quarter Walk

From Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue

N. Peters and Decatur Street

Photos of the buildings Towards the French Quarter

People who own condos as second homes in the French Quarter, Warehouse District, Treme, Marigny and Bywater like to walk through the French Quarter. This is a walk I took taking pictures of these unique buildings on N. Peters and Decatur Street. These photos were taken with the walk while all the photos are towards basic French Quarter. All were taken looking away from the Mississippi River.

This street has a lot of large buildings and many shops on the first floor. The French Market is on the River side of the streets. There are no other streets that look like this in the French Quarter. It was a colorful walk to take a look at the 3 and four story buildings. Most of the first floor are shops and places to eat. Many of the units above the shops are apartments, homes and condos.

This day it looked like rain was coming and the skies were darker than normal. It did rain towards the end of the walk. Then it is smart to walk under the balconies.
