Joan of Arc Statue 

A Gift from France to New Olreans

Erected on Decatur Street in 1972

       The Maid of Orleans 1412-1431 was given to the City of New Orleans by Charles Degalle. He was a French Hero in the 100 Years War between France and England. She was the defender of the city of Orleans in France.

     A beautiful work of art near the French Market. Always enjoy the flags waving around the statue.
