The Bywater Neighborhood

New Orleans,La. 70117

Near the Industrial Canal

Not Far From Poland Avenue

The Kentucky Avenue Homes are unique in the Bywater Neighborhood of New Orleans. The homes are doubles that were built in the 1920’s and 1930’s with yards in front and in the rear. This is not normal for the Bywater homes. They were built as doubles and many have been converted into single homes. The street has all doubles like these. All have porches, yards  and on site parking. This is not normal for the area.

There were 3 homes sold for 332k, 235k, 275k in the last year. These were converted into single homes from doubles. There were no double sold in the last year. Most of the homes were converted into single homes. In the old days when these were built doubles were owned and lived in by family members.

The homes are now colorful and have some plants all over the yard. All seem to have fenced back yards.
